Class Summary - Today we discussed our biodot feedback. We learned what the colors of the biodot meant. Black - stressed, brown - tense, tan - involved, green - calm, blue - tranquil, and purple - deeply relaxed. Students looked at times of their day where they experienced relaxation and stressed. We discussed what might be causing the stress, the subject, the homework, our classmates etc. We then finished out our stress profilers. I collected the totals for the profiler and will look at them and give information to the students based on problem areas. Then we talked about 'fight or flight'. Fight or flight is our body's response to stress. I will do things to help us encounter the challenge or run away from it. Adrenaline is released, pupils dilate, capillaries are restricted etc. The capillary restriction is actually how the bio dots work. The restriction of blood flow to the hands makes the hands slightly colder than the core temperature so the bio dots change color based on temperature.
