Class Summary - Today we discussed as a class the following: Reasons why teenagers wait to have sex Reasons why teenagers do have sex Consequences of Sex (financial, social, mental and emotional, and physical) We also practiced ways that someone can refuse pressure to have sex. I gave students a typical hook and they were to generate a response to the pressure. We also practiced ways to advocate for ourselves, used an orange to demonstrate 'damage' that can be done through sex that have nothing to do with STIs or pregnancy and also discussed our conversations with our parents (feelings not answers).

Objectives - Students will explain the benefits of respecting individual differences in aspects of sexuality. Students will identify the emotional, social and physical and financial consequences of being a teen parent. Students will determine the benefits of being sexually active. Students will describe the factors that contribute to and protect against engaging in sexual risk behaviors.
