Class Summary - We started out class with a quiz on the eye anatomy. Today we talked about hearing. We went through the anatomy of the ear including the outer (this includes the pinna and the auditory canal), inner (this includes the semicircular canals, vestibule and cochlea) and middle ear (tympanic membrane, malleus, stapes and incus, and the eustachian tube, oval window and round window) and its parts. We also tracked the process of hearing sounds. Students, for the test, should be able to put steps of hearing in order from sound waves in through the pinna to sound electric message being interpreted by the brain, students should also know the anatomy of the ear. There remaining time students were to locate the eye and ear anatomy on zspace.
Homework - There is a quiz on the anatomy of the ear next class period.
Objectives - Students will identify the anatomy of the hear and identify function for each part.
