Class Summary - Today Mrs. Steig and I talked about signs of suicide. The goal of today's lesson was to understand the acronym for helping someone who shows signs of suicide. The acronym is ACT. A stands for acknowledge. This means to notice the signs and understand that someone is struggling. C stands for care. Show the person that you care about them and what they are going through. T stands for tell. This means to tell an adult who can help find the appropriate intervention for that person. We watched the Time to ACT video and discussed helpful and hurtful ways of showing concern for someone who has signs of suicide.
