AODA Activity Punch Cards
All Osseo-Fairchild School District students grades k-12 were given an AODA activity punch card. Punches on the cards indicate attending one of the fall athletic or school related activities the district offers. Punches on the cards result in entries for drawings for prizes (Movie Theater Gift Cards). Click on the season's card to the left to see the winners.
101 Things to Do
At our October meeting, students ate lunch together and came up with a list of 101 things kids can do in our area that are substance free. The list will be hung in all three of our school buildings. The picture to the lower right is banner that was hung at Fairchild Elementary!
If you would like to read about all 101 things that students came up with, click on the picture on the right of students working and you will see a PDF version of the banner.
Thank you to Above and Beyond club adviser Hailey Zawacki for the banner design!
AODA Get in Free Nights
Specific nights are indicated as AODA activities and students can get in free to those events. This is a great way to show support for our school's athletes! Click on the logo to the left to see results of how many students took advantage of the fall get in free nights. At AODA get in free nights students will also be able to learn more about making good choices and staying substance free as well as providing an activity void of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Click on the Above and Beyond logo to the right to read more about how many students attended this event.
Elementary School Discussions
At our November meeting (pictured left) students came up with discussion topics and ideas to use for the elementary school visit. The activities they picked develop skills like leadership, teamwork, problem solving and other invaluable skills needed to be a positive influence in our community. In December, members met with Osseo Elementary 4th and 5th grade classes to discuss how Above and Beyond members deal with difficult situations and still make positive decisions including finding ways to stay substance free.
Check out the slideshow to the left to see some of the activities!
