Class Summary - Today, I handed back the respiratory system test. Then we started discussing blood. We talked about the composition of blood; we described the functions of blood as being into three categories and discuss each category. And we talked about the composition of plasma and the specific functions of plasma proteins, explain the hematopoietic role of stem cells in the red bone marrow, and describe the structure, function and life cycle of red blood cells and white blood cells. We finished talking about blood as we discussed white blood cells and platelets.
