Class Summary - Today we looked at different displays dealing with smokeless tobacco. We looked and talked about how smokeless tobacco works and why it is still dangerous even though there isn't second hand smoke. We looked at some mouth displays showing dangers of smokeless tobacco. We discussed different types and the dangers of each one. We also looked at some real life pictures of effects of smokeless tobacco (harry tongue, cavities, mouth cancer, gum recession etc.) Finally, we discussed some of the marketing tactics like Big League Chew and Jerky Chew that look like the packaging of smokeless tobacco.
Homework - None but Tobacco Test is scheduled for November 12th (Week 1 kids) or November 13th (Week 2 kids).
Objectives - Students will identify different types of smokeless tobacco. Students will identify dangers of smokeless tobacco.
