PATCH Teen Responsibility With Healthcare Providers
Class Summary - Today we did a role play with different situations between teens and health care providers emphasizing skills we learned in the past couple lessons. Students were given a sheet and they were to play either a teen or a health care provider and read the interaction to the class. Next, students were given a slip of paper with a situation on it and they were supposed to write what they could say in that situation. When completed, students were to finish statements simulating health provider interactions. Students were then to complete a word document found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZLI_K6JBS2nRkSmN0rJ0a9S6mCATn_2MOcWIjflADOc/edit?usp=sharingthat created a scenario of a student talking to a health care provider about a given topic. Students could pick what they wanted to talk about with the doctor. Their grade will be based on if they can advocate for their needs with talking to a health care provider.
