Summary - Today students took a quiz on the food group rules. One part of the quiz was simply to write the rule for each food group. The second part of the quiz was to choose from two sets of food the group that followed the rule for that food group. When students were finished, they were to complete the activity page if they haven't yet done so. We went over both the activity page and the quiz at the end of the hour.
Objectives - Students will summarize a variety of healthy food choices from each food group. (Standard 2 Analyzing Influences) Students will analyze the validity and reliability of nutrition information, services and products. (Standard 3 Accessing Information) Students will assess personal eating habits. (Standard 6 Goal Setting) Students will apply strategies to overcome barriers to achieving a personal goal to improve healthy eating. (Standard 6 Goal Setting)
