Today we took a quiz on the information from water, vitamins and minerals. We then introduced the energy supplying nutrients. We learned that carbohydrates and protein have 4 calories per gram but fat has 9 calories per gram. 60% of our calories per day should be from healthy carbohydrates, 30% should be from healthy fats and 10% should come from protein.
