Class Summary - We started to look specifically into carbohydrates. We learned that there are 2 categories for carbohydrates; simple and complex. Simple carbs give us quick energy but they don't last very long. These tend to be rich in foods that taste sweet and have sugars ending is 'ose' (fructose, lactose, sucrose). Complex carbs give us more of an even energy. These are found in foods with starch or fiber like grains and vegetables.
